Gyn-lakt was developed for prevention and as an additional preparation for the treatment of gynecological problems. It is used predominantly for the feminine hygiene, restricts the access of microorganism into the vagina and retains the natural acidic pH.
During the development process a special emphasis was laid on the simple application, effectiveness, and the period of usage. After several years of research Gyn-lakt gel was developed. Gyn-lakt gel is a cream for intimate hygiene for both women and men.
The benefits lie in the structure which supports the revitalization of the immune system areas where the cream was applied. This is achieved by specific lactobacilli and special ointment basis. The ointment can be easily spread and only a small amount of the cream is needed to get maximum effects.
Suggested usage is 1,5 ml for inter-vaginal application. This small amount is sufficient for liquidating cutaneous fungi, inflammations and other problems which one may encounter in the genital area. Tests have proven excellent healing effects of the cream in case of herpes labialis, infectious angulitis (corners of the mouth), burns and abrasions. After the cream application a film is made on the skin not permeating viruses or other impurities into the wound (which does not fester) and after 24 hours the results are comparable to those of other preparations after 3 weeks of use.
In case of eczema treatment Gyn-lakt gel has achieved similar results in a short period of time.
Gyn-lakt is excellent as a preventive preparation before attending public facilities such as swimming pools, saunas, solariums, or other places where hygiene is ensured professionally, but the individual sensitivity to disinfections and other cleaning agents may vary. This causes reactions which are indicated by stinging, itching, creation of cutaneous fungi, and in case of women sometimes by vaginal effluent.
With a little amount of Gyn-lakt cream it is safe for most women to pass through things which are normally forbidden.
Gyn-lakt may be also successfully used with patients suffering from decubitus ulcers (bedsores).
Gyn-lakt is used as a local gynecological preparation for complex treatment of chronic inflammations and other pathological conditions of outer female genitals and vagina which are connected with a long-term malfunction of natural acidity of vaginal environment. It may be successfully applied for final treatment of acute female genitals inflammations. In this situation Gyn-lakt is used immediately after the therapy to speed up the regeneration of vaginal mucosa. It reduces the subjective difficulties (especially intensive itching) during dystrophic processes of outer female genitals. Gyn-lakt attenuates the risk of secondary damage to vaginal mucous after vaginal surgeries. It is an appropriate supplement for complex therapy during the states of estrogen deficiency in vaginal mucous (climax), thus improving the sexual comfort. Gyn-lakt significantly reduces the risk of vaginal infections during the stay in swimming pools, saunas, public spas and transportation (long travel distances) etc.

Indication group: dermatological and local gynecological preparation.
Indication: as a dermatological preparation it may be used for prevention of fungal diseases anywhere on the body, especially in places such as beneath fingers, interdigital and popliteal places, elbow sockets, armpits, dermal bends in obesity etc. It is used to speed up the regeneration of skin after burns and reactive inflammations (chemical damage of skin or chemotherapy). Additionally it is suitable as a supplementary alteration at resistant forms of eczemas, including atopic ones, and as a prevention of secondary infections. It has been successfully used in treatment of herpetic lip infections and infectious angulitis (mouth corners), small skin injuries, during states of weakened immunity (diabetes, immunodeficiency, etc.).
Contraindications: unknown.
Adverse effects: there were no adverse effects found during the period of clinical testing.
Interactions: there were no medical interactions proven.
